Vice Chancellor’s Visit

Interface with Honourable Vice Chancellor of University of Mumbai – Dr. Sanjay Deshmukh with the MMS students of Lala Lajpatrai Institute of Management on 13th April, 2016 Lala Lajpatrai Institute of Management (LLIM) one of the premier B-schools in Mumbai was fortunate to have the gracious presence of Honourable Vice Chancellor of University of Mumbai – Dr. Sanjay Deshmukh on 13th April 2016 in the institute premises.

In the morning at around 8.30 a.m.; Dr. Deshmukh was welcomed in a traditional Maharashtrian style with tutari, aarti and tilak by LLIM students dressed in Maharashtrian attire. He was further escorted on the seminar hall on 6th floor for the formal session. As a part of inauguration ceremony; the Chief Guest, Honourable Vice Chancellor Dr Sanjay Deshmukh along with other dignitaries lit the lamp and paid tribute to Shri. Lala Lajpatraiji.

Inauguration and Welcome Speech by Dr. Kamalji Gupta
Dr. Kamalji Gupta, the Chairman of LLIM delivered the welcome address in the presence of the Trustees of Lala Lajpatrai Memorial Trust viz. Mr. Naresh Gupta, Dr. Sunil Gupta which added value to the function. The Director LLIM- Dr. V. B. Angadi, Career & Guidance Cell CEO – Mr. Rajeev Gupta, Student Counsellor – Mrs. Asha Agrawal, Principal of Lala Lajpatrai College of – Dr. Neelam Arora, MMS Course Coordinator – Dr. H. J. Bhasin, Principal of Law college-Dr. Smitakarve, faculty members and students were present during the event.

Dr. Deshmukh’s Speech & an Interface with students
After a traditional felicitation with a shawl and shrifal; Dr. Deshmukh delivered a marvellous speech on various aspects and initiatives at the University of Mumbai along with valuable insights to the students.Later the enthusiastic students had an extended interface with Dr. Deshmukh and deliberated further.

Scholarships Distribution
This was the most appropriate occasion wherein Dr. Deshmukh distributed scholarships to the deserving students of LLIM.

Sapling Plantation
To mark the honour and commemorate this propitious day; the Honourable Vice Chancellor-Dr. Deshmukh along with LLIM trustees viz. Mr. Naresh Gupta, Dr. Sunil Gupta and Dr. Kamal Gupta planted a sapling in the institute garden. The program ended by 10.30 a.m. with a lot of knowledge sharing, discussions and on a positive note.
