GOVERNING COUNCIL COMMITTEE


The Governing Council is the highest governing body of the institute which is headed by Dr. Kamal Gupta. The Governing Council consist of eminent persons capable of contributing to and upholding institute’s ideals and traditions.

All the policy matters, developmental activities, regulatory activities are reviewed by the Governing Council which is the main body for the effective implementation and monitoring of institutional strategic plan for the future.

Functions & Responsibilities of the Governing Council :-

The Governing Council of the Lala Lajpatrai Institute of Management[LLIM] is also the authority that runs Lala Lajpatrai College of Commerce and Economics[LLC]. The Chairman of the Governing Council or his nominee has the powers to take decisions about financial, academic, and administrative matters.

The Governing Council works towards ensuring that all stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, management and industry are confident and have faith in the Institution. It also ensures that all the assigned authority for various nodal functions, both within and outside institution, are carried out effectively.

In addition to the above the Governing Council also has authority -

• To formulate policies and procedures for good governance of the institution.

• To appoint CDC members, Director, teaching and non-teaching staff.

• To periodically examine and monitor the Institute's over all progress.

• To approve the Annual Budget.

• To take regular review of the dynamic environment in management education and take strategic decisions for sustainability and growth.
